In order to participate in the World Race, I must raise a total of $13,800 to cover living, travel, and ministry expenses.  That averages out to $1,150 per month.

AIM (the Adventures in Missions organization) recommends that I raise at least half of the total amount by mid-summer.

As of April 25, I have $1,210 in my mission account.  Not a bad start, considering many people have indicated their intention to support me, but it does mean that I still need $12,590.

I am planning some fundraising activities around school to increase awareness among my colleagues, students, and the community here:

Friday, May 9 – Game Show

For a modest admission fee, students and adults alike will be invited to compete Jeopardy!-style for small donated prizes and bragging rights.

Friday, May 16 – mini-World Race activity

For a modest admission fee, middle school students will “travel” to various stations to do fun, educational and cultural tasks.

I will also be organizing snack sales (my high school students insisted that food was the best way to get their attention), and presenting informational sessions and devotions featuring stories from current and past World Racers.

I encourage you to check out what’s going on in the field by clicking here.  Reading the blogs and watching the videos of current World Racers excites me and gives my prayers direction.  They are learning a lot about discipleship and living in community as they serve alongside the various ministries.

I also welcome you to consider partnering with me in this mission with your prayers and/or financial support.  If you are willing to commit to pray for me on a regular basis, please contact me.  You can make donations (a one-time offering or an amount pledged per month) on-line at any time.

Thank you!
