Well I did it, I somehow managed to squeeze my life into a 60 Liter bag; after packing and repacking it many times I finally found a way to make it all fit. I spent more hours than I’d like to admit on the floor of my bedroom this week contemplating what to pack and how on earth I was going to fit it into my pack. Thank you, Jesus for REI compression sacks and Alumni blogs!
I spent my entire flight trying to figure out how to explain or portray what I am about to experience, and the truth is I cant. Too many thoughts to try comprehend.
You guys have been so incredibly supportive as I prepare for training camp. I feel so loved by all the texts, emails, and conversations I’ve had with people this past week as I get ready to embark on the first leg of my race.
I know this week will create a new perspective in me, a readiness in me and an even bigger desire to be the hands and feet; it’s just kinda scary knowing that I have a lot to let go of before I’m ready.
So here is what I decided, a picture blog! Here are some pictures of my week and my preparations for training camp. I have safely arrived in Atlanta and I am currently sitting on the floor, on a pile of packs and pillows with a bunch of other future racers.
I hope you enjoy the pictures, see you in two weeks!!
