It’s scary.
It seems impossible.
It’s too much to take on.
It will swallow me whole, and my dream along with it.
These have been my thoughts lately, but you know what? It’s a lie. Satan is a liar and doesn’t even want me to try. He wants me to give up, but I have a God that is bigger than money. God is bigger than a number. God is bigger than my fears. God is BIG and GOOD, and HE WILL PROVIDE. (“But” is a cool word when used in this context, it’s so happy and uplifting isn’t it? God is the King of uplifting “buts”) haha right guys? 🙂
When it comes down to it though, the thing that bugs me more than Satan being a jerk and the money hovering over me is the fact that I was afraid. I was backing away like a scared puppy. I was shying away from a task that God has called me to do. A task that may seem daunting at first, but God did not design me for fear. He designed me to be UNDAUNTED. The dictionary defines undaunted as:
un-daun-ted
1. not intimated or discouraged by difficulty, danger, or disappointment.
synonyms: unafraid, undismayed, unflinching, unshrinking, unabashed, fearless, dauntless, intrepid, bold, valiant, brave, courageous, plucky, gritty, indomitable, confident, audacious, daring, gutsy, gutty, spunky
Whoa. I want to be FEARLESS
VALIANT
INDOMITABLE
SPUNKY
The Word tells us, “Do not be afraid” over and over and over again. In fact, Philippians 4:5-6. tells us “The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” It says DO NOT be anxious. God is commanding us not to worry or be afraid. Don’t you love that?? He’s like, “Hey chill out man, I got this.”
So I’m going to chill. I’m going to be fearless. I’m going to be indomitable.
I’m believing for miracles. I’m believing for provision. I’m believing for salvations.
So what is God calling you to today? What are you shying away from? Whatever it is, look it straight in the eyes with boldness. 1 Chronicles 28:20 tells us, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the Lord is finished.” We can be fearless because JESUS was fearless on the cross. HE is our confidence.
It’s amazing to know that God has our back. He will help us through until the work is finished. So go finish that work that He has called you to! You are going to kill it! Because you are UNDAUNTED in the name of JESUS.
Katy Perry gave us some great advice in her new song “Roar.” That’s right, I’m referencing a Katy Perry song. She sings, “I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter, dancing through the fire…you’re going to hear me ROAR.”
So don’t back away from your God-given, God-breathed, Heaven-kissed dream. ROAR right in Satan’s face, dance through the fire that will most certainly flame up in your path, and lift your hands to heaven. And in those moments when you can’t, God will lift them for you.
