Hello all my beautiful people!
The time has now come for fundraising and preparation for the World Race. I will admit that I am nervous, scared but yet excited? I am looking forward to witnessing how God will provide and how those around me can join me on this journey 🙂 Speaking of that, I have several options for how you can become involved in my World Race journey now and in the future.
1. Responding to the letters: I sent out letters last week to explain in more detail of what the World Race entails and how you can begin to think about partnering with me financially. If you are open to that kind of support then you came to the right place! On this blog page you can go to my home page and click donate. Also, quick side note. If everyone who received a letter donated a $100 then I would be fully funded!
*Donation information: All our tax deductible. Checks by mail need to be payable to “Adventures in Missions”, my name in the memo line and only one check per envelope. Online payments can be made on my blog website or the adventures website (adventures.org/give) and can be made one time or reoccurring.
2. REI Wishlist: This journey throughout these 11 countries is going to take quite a bit of equipment. This includes a hiking backpack, day pack, tent, sleeping bag and pad to just name a few. These items are not cheap so I am asking if anyone is open to contributing to my packing list! The following link is to my REI wishlist and what I am desiring to buy for the World Race, World Race REI wishlist Quick side note. Someone has already offered to buy the huge hiking Osprey Pack 🙂 But anything else is free game so far! Please let me know when you have bought something so I can take it off the list.
3. Prayer Team: If anyone is interested, I will be starting a prayer team for current prayer support and while I am on the World Race. I will be sending out weekly emails to those who are truly willing to be my prayer partners. Only through prayer and trust in the Lord will I embark on this journey. If you would like to be on this list please contact me personally through texting, calling, Facebook or email.
4. Face to Face: If you would like to learn more about upcoming adventures then we can most defiantly set up a time to meet! This can include questions, watching World Race videos and even discussing the cultures of different countries.
Future opportunities…
1. Envelope fundraiser: This will begin later this month but as a preview I will explain what it entails. I will have 150 envelopes numbered 1-150 and each of these numbers will be worth a dollar amount. For example, if you were to pick the number 60, then you would donate $60.00 towards my World Race Account. I will be doing this through social media and in person so that all can be involved!
2. Dinner Parties: I will be hosting themed dinner parties throughout the summer for the countries I will be traveling to for the purpose of donations for the Race. If you would like to host one, then please let me know and we can plan this!
3. Rap battle/Concert! More news will be coming out for this for those who live in the Pittsburgh area 🙂
As you can tell, there are multiple ways you can join me on this adventure now and during the summer. I hope and pray that you will consider joining me on this journey in some way. I truly appreciate the support that has already been shown 🙂
