“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding”
Proverbs 3:5
God tells us we are his sons and daughters. We are His children. He cares for us because we are his own. While being on the Race, we don’t receive the same love from our parents as we do when we’re back home. No offense mom and dad, but its a little bit harder to receive love while we are thousands of miles away, behind a phone screen. The only thing we can really depend on is our true and Heavenly Father for love. It says in 1st Corinthians that Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. God is love, so I’m pretty sure that describes the Lord pretty well. With love always comes trust. When we fully trust in our Father, things just come a little bit easier in our life. There’s no longer worry, doubts, or overthinking. When we cry, He cries. When we jump for joy, as does he. He is our shepherd, and we are His sheep as he cares for, leads, and loves us.
We can fall onto our knees in awe when God guides our life, because His will is so much more beautiful than we could’ve ever planned. It’s happened way to many times for me to count. God has wrecked, multiple times, things I thought I had full control in. Thats because God wants us, He’s a jealous God. He wants our hearts and our lives. He sent his one and only Son for us, so that we may have eternal life to worship in His light. So why not give Him all of us?
Thats when the battle between flesh and the spirit begins. We constantly want to live selfishly instead of giving it to something that we can not see. The spirit is and should be in full control of the way we walk. I’ve written a blog about this already, but still it holds to be true. Trusting in God looks like fully loving him and knowing that He holds your life in His hands. We need to trust with all our heart, because like I said before He’s a jealous God and will wreck your plans so that he can have all of us.
But, we are at war. There is this unseen battle going on between the flesh, which is our own being, can cause Satan to have a huge persuasion on. Then there is the Spirit, which God entrusts us with when we proclaim our lives to Him. We must cling to and hold God as He is our refuge in this battle. We can not win it alone. The enemy fights nonstop to have us wrapped around his finger, so why even give him the slightest advantage?
Trust Him wholeheartedly and beautiful things will begin to happen. Here’s to many more adventures with the Lord.
“Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which can not be shaken but endures forever”
Psalms 125:1
