All month our ministry was focused around the children at the children’s home that we were helping. Their home doesn’t currently get any regular funding from anywhere. They live by faith that the Lord will provide in his timing all of their needs. Durring VBS our host had agreed to feed the 30 children lunch all 5 days as well as feeding us. They were not sure how God would provide but they felt called to commit to that. Slowly each day got sponosered by a different member of the community surrounding us. It was precious to watch people come together and support their neighbor and friends to provide for these kids. Then we witnessed a miracle on day 4. This couple who were complete strangers showed up the morning of the 4th day of VBS and blessed us with food and cleaning supplies, enough to feed all the kids the rest of the days and at least 2/3 more weeks for the ones at the home. They had never met our host before and could not even remember who had given them the card with the information on it. All they knew was God had placed the home on their hearts and they were supposed to help. They took our host to the store and had him pick out all the things that they needed supplies like soap, cleaning, hygiene products all kinds of healthy and snack foods …. I mean how cool!!!!!!. It made me miss my old job at Operation Blessing and how seeing God provide for the daily needs of those around me rejuvenates my soul. We had been praying for provision and God showed up.
God is constantly aware of our needs. Currently we are praying for the kids funding for school if you would be willing to pray for them that would be great school will start soon and there are 15 kids that they need to enroll and buy supplies/uniforms for over the next few weeks. I know God will show up. These kids are so bright and such lights I know they will do amazing things with their lives I am so blessed to know them!!!!
