Beautiful Lord, wonderful saviour I know for sure, all of my days are held in Your hands Crafted into Your perfect plan
You gently call me, into Your presence Guiding me by, Your Holy Spirit Teach me dear Lord To live all of my life through Your eyes
I’m captured by, Your Holy calling Set me apart I know You’re drawing me to Yourself Lead me Lord I pray
Take me, Mold me Use me, Fill me I give my life to the Potter’s hands Hold me, Guide me Lead me, Walk beside me I give my life to the Potter’s hand
Yesterday I was blessed to get to go to 2 different churches. We went to a Baptist service yesterday morning, and it did my soul good. The song above was on the pamphlet, and as soon as I saw it I knew I was a prolly going to cry.
When you know the cry of your heart it moves you to action. My teammate Bekah and I were talking last week about God breaking our hearts for his call. She has been working through the things that God is putting on her heart. Watching her piece through her emotions we talked about how the emotion is part of what leads us to action. When you pray for God to change the desire of your heart to match His, He will.
The song started and halfway to the chorus I could already feel the tears. The analogy of being clay in the potter’s hands is one of my favorite analogies. It is the cry of my heart. Another line from one of my favorite poems reads, “I pray that I’m always found on a mission about my father’s business.” This journey I am walking out hasn’t been easy but it has been good. Obedience to the cross changes you.
The second service we went to was at an Evangelical church and it was an outreach service. They were talking about Jesus being the only high priest and how we need Him to interceed on our behalf with God. They played a game and did a skit about how somethings are just not helpful or the right tool for certain tasks. One analogy was about if you broke a law and needed a lawyer you would not want one who was convicted of a similar crime to represent you in court. This being said we are not on the same level as God so we can not have a mere man represent us, and how Jesus is qualified because He was fully God.
Sitting in the services where they were sharing the gospel was so refreshing. We were blessed all day with awesome fellowship. Having gone the last 3 weeks without having run into another Christian here in Malaysia it was so encouraging. Being reminded about who He is and why we serve Him from local believers and colaborers for the gospel was so sweet.
This week is full of blessings already and it just started. I’m blessed to get to partner with a Christian organization that helps young adults with special needs learn job skills. It was an amazing 1st day. As I was walking to the center this morning I was remembering the week long missionaries in Haiti. God can do whatever He wants in any time frame and I am so excited to see what He has in store for me this week.
