Today God’s answer to a prayer was no.  It was kind of a bummer but I know it was the best thing. This month has been an answered prayer month full force from the start.  I entered Nepal with a LOT of weight on my shoulders.

1. I was having a hard time communicating with my mom.

2. My car was in the process of getting repossessd.

3. My team wanted to trek and I had to figure out how to pay for it and if I could physically hack 5 days in the mountains.

4. My fundraising deadlines have passed and I still need 5,200 dollars to be fullyfunded.

5. The tooth in my head that needed to be looked at was in enough pain to warrant me to even think about going to a dentist.

6. I was getting a new team and, it was hard cus I was having trouble communicating with one of my teammates. I was putting her on edge and I hated it. I didn’t mean to but I was not loving her well and she felt like she couldn’t communicate with me. 🙁

7. I was missing India and my old team.

So I had a lot on my brain. Well I was doing my best to lay it at the cross, God was already at work.  It also was my birthday this month and it as way harder then I thought to celebrate it away from home.

When we landed in Nepal, Kathmandu was amazing… It still is but after 2 weeks in Pokhara experiencing everything that happened this month it took coming back for me to see all of the answers. I looked my Squad Leader Merrideth in the eyes and couldn’t stop praising my God.

1. Mom and I are doing better and communicating a lot.

 2. I talked to the bank. My credit score is important but it does not define my life. It all got worked out. I will finish paying loan when I get home.

3.God provided 250 dollars in about 3 days which blew me away and gave me such peace about the trek.  Trek might not have gone how I was expecting but it did change my life.

4. I am still working on fundraising, our mentor is holding us accountable to the plan but also I know it will come and so it is not stealing my joy. It is just another way God is moving.

5. Guys, I went to the DENTIST! IT WAS AMAZING!

I got my cavity fixed for …… $33.00 Yup and I was blessed to have a friend pay for it. I got the other tooth looked at and I might have to have it pulled in Malaysia but we will jump that hurdle when we get there. It was the best dentist experience I have ever had!

6. My new team is doing well and I had a few good conversations with my teammate. We are working on it but things are going really great. They did an awesome job loving me on my birthday.

7.Still missing India it is hard to see reminders but I am missing ALL the places a lil more each day. Life does not stand still tho and missing them is a good thing. It means I was loved so well when I was there.

Malaysia is a new month and a new chapter and I am excited to see what God has in store.

Prayer Requests

Physically my body is not doing well my stomach has been off all month. The last 3 days have been the worst. Please pray for healing I missed out on rafting today because I didn’t feel up to it. (That was the no, answer this morning)

Pray for unity in my new team!

I know He has a plan for everything and this month has shown me how grateful I am that my God is not in a temple or an idol made from metal, wood or stones. My God is a loving, living God that hears and answers prayers. I am loved so much. Praying for you all from Nepal! 🙂

Ps. If you know anyone who might be willing to partner with me financially, I would love to talk with them or send them an updated fundraising letter. My email is [email protected]
