1 full day left in Africa
Days in Africa were long. Most of our ministries were divided up between morning and afternoon/evening responsibilities. Your day gets long when you are getting ready for bed and have to double check with your teammate that what you think happened this morning was really only this morning.
Tomorrow will be a cool day. We will have most of the day free to go on one last adventure. I will be able to see Lake Victoria and the Nile. I will also have dinner with these amazing people for the last time, Squad dinner. I will get to laugh and cry and hug them. Sunday we head to the airport… it’s crazy. We worshiped tonight for a final time and just being all together with them is special. So many amazing stories of growth, faith and just life. I have been so blessed to get to do life with these goofballs. To intercede with, cry with, sing, laugh, dance, preach, teach, sleep in airports, bounce around busses, make music videos, try weird foods, cross borders at all hours of the night, get parrasites, seek God with, and just love on them for these last 11 months. It does seem long and in some ways it seems like a dream. I have been so blessed.
Please pray for us as we transition into these next seasons. I will be back in the 603 so soon. Pray for peace and community and just God to meet us where we are each at.
I can’t wait to drive,(my mom’s car) and to see snow!!!!!!! I must really miss home to be excited to freeze and shovel. I also will get to see family and friends and celebrate Christmas with them 🙂 Bring on the lights, hot chocolate, movies and comphy sweaters… I wore shorts, didn’t put on a coat and swam in the pool all week in honor of not being able to do that for the next few months!!!!!! Love you Africa but I’m ready to go home!!!! Sledding and snowball fights, warm hugs and home!!
Ps— the photo is from my talk at final debrief God put one final message on my heart to share with the gang. It was about how we are going home but the same God who called us and met us these last 11 months is going with us. He never changed He blessed us with getting to go deeper with Him but He was the same God in America to and He will be right there with us as we go home.
