Sobona! This trip has been wonderful! I say “wonderful” because it has been full of wonders! Oh Lord, may I never lose my wonder of you! God is constantly up to something great. He is never stagnant. He is never negligent of His children. He sees us and knows us in full and yet He STILL loves us. I have loved watching God do incredible things first-hand in my personal spiritual journey, in my team, and through our ministry!
Personally I have always done my quiet time with the Lord at night before I go to bed (journaling, reading the Bible and prayer) but a goal of mine has always been to get up early to start my day off with the Lord instead. Unfortunately, I can literally sleep through ANYTHING. Just ask my team, I am the last one up every morning. Alarm clocks don’t work for me. So I prayed and asked God that He would wake me up so I can spend time with Him. I know it sounds crazy, but God has literally woken me up every morning for the last 8 days, I have not set an alarm or anything. I went from waking up 5 minutes before breakfast to being the first and only one up each morning at 6/6:30ish. God has been SO faithful in answering my prayer to wake me up. I wake up energized and the whole trajectory of my day is different starting it off in His Word. I take what I read that morning and use it as fuel throughout the day. My encouragement is to start off your day in the presence of the Lord—before the chaos and the busyness begins, take time to sit still in His presence. It is so worth it. And also, don’t be afraid to pray bold prayers! “Heavenly Father please wake me up early tomorrow” is not a traditional prayer, but God loves to answer the prayers of His children. He loves to hear our voice and spend time with us. I have indescribable joy as a direct result from this time I spent with the Lord! He is the source of my joy, my peace, my hope, and my fulfillment.
Matthew 7:11-“If you then, who are evil know how to give good to your children how much more will your Father in heaven good things to those who ask him.”
Love you all! More updates to come!
