Currently as I  sit in the DC airport getting ready to soon board the plane for a layover in Ethiopia, before heading to Cote D’ivoire, I feel so blessed.

I am truly overwhelmed with the love and support I’ve received since I announced I’m going on the world race.

To hear from so many people that they will be praying for me, has truly  been one of the most comforting words I’ve heard. Thank you, doesn’t seem to be quite enough but I’ll say it again,  Thank you!!

Big thanks to all my beautiful coworkers who were so thoughtful enough to buy me a Go pro. (I will do my absolute best to document my travels)

Huge thanks to all my family,  church family and friends who have been beyond generous with financially supporting me. I literally could not go on this trip without your contributions and I pray that God bless you all for your kindness.

God has used so many people to remind me that,  1. He’s going to take care of me on this trip 2. He’s going to provide for me on this trip 3. He’s going to work through me on this trip and most of all,  4. He loves me on this trip and always.  My expectations have already been exceeded in how supportive everyone has been and this is just another reminder that God will continue to blow my mind,  if I give all my worries and fears to him and not try to make it on my own.

Through every donation I received , every prayer said over me, every word of encouragement said, I have  felt the love of God through it all.

So thank you all for demonstrating God’s love to me through your support. I feel so loved and blessed and I hope you know my love for you is mutual.  Though I may never be able to repay you, God sees and he will reward you for your generosity and kindness. Please remember to keep me in your prayers.

Below is a picture of me at a going away party at my house as well as a picture of me, at church explaining that I will be living out of a backpack.

LOVE VANESSA 🙂
