Hi guys,

Below is just a video of life on the race. In the short video below, you can see how we shop for food, when food is not provided for us, and my attempts at getting a sim card in Cote d’ Ivoire.

I purposely brought an unlocked phone with me on the race. I did this with the intention of buying local sim cards in each country, which in turn would allow me  to have access to my phone and keep in contact with my family and friends. 🙂

In the end for 5,000 cefa (Cote d’Ivoire currency) I was able to get 6 GB worth of data and I paid 1,000 cefa for the sim card.

Due to the language barrier, (they speak French) buying a sim card was a struggle….as you’ll soon see.

And just in case you’re wondering, I’ll be doing  a separate blog later on how I bought my sim cards in each country, until then…Enjoy!
