I wake up and can’t believe this is my day to day life. It is hard for me to describe how I feel because I don’t even know how to put it into words. Knowing that I still have 10 country/ cultures to experience makes my soul warm with joy.

Month one was more rewarding then I could have hoped for:

–        The host family had such beautiful souls

–        The students had servant hearts

–        The people loved deeply and unconditionally

–        Their faith was so strong despite their living conditions

I came away from that month with such love, grace, and thankfulness. My heart is just overflowing with thanks because I get to be on this incredible journey. I am so grateful for all my supporters that enabled me to experience this!! You are all such a blessing in my life.

We tough a lot of English, lead many bible studies and we’re able to reach out to the local community by setting up medical clinic’s, we also helped with soil tests and shared the gospel of Jesus. You can heal the body but if you don’t heal the soul all is lost. Last month was wonderful!

The Island was breath taking. We took a few 3 hour car rides to the different beaches and I might have enjoyed the car ride more then our destination’s. Indonesia has such a raw and untouched beauty. It is by far the pretties tropical country I have ever seen. The rice fields are surrounded by tropical jungles with palm trees that have a white birch tree bark. The palm leaves are almost a silver green when the sun is glistening on them. Pure untouched beauty. They also have banana trees all across the island… very beautiful. These banana trees have a thing called a banana heart, the banana heart is a magenta reddish purple which stands out in a jungle that is full of variations of green. They are eye catching because of there unique color and form. Indonesia was incredible!

Saying good by was much harder then I expected. There were a lot of tears and broken hearts. The students wiliness to love so easily is beautiful but it makes saying good by so much harder.

Philippians 4:6-7

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
