Our host is a strong spiritual leader! He is a new testament disciple living in this dark and broken world.
Mark 16:15-18.
Jesus said to His disciples
“Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.”
Our host lives dangerously for Christ. We are in a closed country so having Bible’s or any other reading material that is not approved by the government is highly illegal. For a citizen the penalty of transporting or housing bibles is 3 years in jail. Our host not only stores the bibles, but he also smuggles the bibles across the border and transports them all over the country.
The Underground Church. There are harsh punishments for being part of the underground church in closed countries. Some pastors go to jail and are heavily fined… those are the lucky ones! Other just disappear. So when you decide to join the Kingdom of God you are signing up for a life time of living dangerously for Christ. Our host helps disciple these underground churches, he also helps them financially if they have a run in with the government and their zero tolerance polices with rebel churches.
We are called as believers to disciple people. Our host opens his home to everyone. He has small groups all throughout the community and he disciples them, He loves on them, he encourages them, he spends time with them, and most importantly he leads them closer to the Father.
Our host speaks in multiple languages. Languages from the heavens and languages of the earth. He has been blessed with that gift from the Holy Spirt. God is good.
Casting out demons is another thing Christ called believers to do. This seams crazy looking through western lenses but hear in other cultures the ENEMY is thriving. There is a lot of darkness. Evil spirts are very present and roam freely. People who don’t have the Holy Spirit dwelling within side them are free game for the enemy and his hold. Our host goes into community’s and through the authority in Christ Jesus’s name and the power of the Holy Spirit inside us he casts out all demons and heals the sick. Our host has hours of footage he shared with us of Gods mighty miracles. We were able to see Gods work with our own eyes. God is sovereign.
I am encouraged and blessed to have met this incredible believer. His faith is strong and he walks boldly in Christ. I am inspired to live more dangerously in Christ
