This month we are located on an island off of North Sumatra. I am not able to share too many details about specifics because Indonesia is a closed country.

The family we are staying with has such a beautiful story I would like to share with you. Pa is the founder of this organization. He felt God’s calling to come to this specific area so he left his job as a Financial Analyst uprooted his family and moved to this island.

Once he arrived, Pa was still unsure about the work God had in store for him. They did not have a source of income when they moved but through faith, they trusted God would provide. During the waiting, this family opened a donut shop, then a restaurant and then God provided a job for his wife. This allowed pa to further seek after God’s calling.

Pa knew he wanted to serve the community and felt led to open a school. This school is a Missions Training Center for students that want to further their education and go out to unreached people groups to spread God’s love. Their mission is to disciple these unreached groups through sharing what God has done in their lives and the skills they have learned at the school. This school is focusing on knowledge of agriculture, standard healthcare, and discipleship. The students are so eager to learn, it’s beautiful.

Pa and his family are a true testament to how we need to walk in faith. God’s presence is so abundant here on this campus. I feel blessed to be a part of the beginnings of God’s beautiful work in motion.
