When I first heard about World Race, I was in high school. I wanted to join, because I didn’t want to go to college, and all I desired was to travel the world! Those were bad intentions.

Fast forward to where I am now; World Race has knocked on my heart 3 times in the last 4 months! Making this decision came after I went on my first missions trip to El Progresso, Honduras, with spring break missions for Victory Church. I had the opportunity to be a group lead with 6-8th graders. Like anybody who has been on a missions trip, “it changed me!” My heart for the kids, for the people, and for Honduras was so evident, I didn’t want to stop. That’s when I knew I had to do World Race.

My intentions with joining now are not to have a cool instagram feed, but to help reach lost people, to be what God has called us all to be; fishers of men. I’m most excited to meet the people from each country I go to. I’m excited to experience all the different cultures, and to share the love of Jesus to some who have never heard is name!

I had to sacrifice some important things and people to make this decision. It wasn’t easy, but I know God will not only use me, but will also reach people here. My mission doesn’t just impact who I speak to. It leaves an impact at my home, church, and town as well.
