While here in Costa Rica studying Spanish, I’ve noticed a few differences between my “NEW” life here and my “OLD” life back home…

And I’m pretty sure each one of these differences will carry over into next year… ๐Ÿ™‚

So now’s the time to embrace it, eh?  ๐Ÿ™‚  OUT with the OLD, IN with the NEW!
OUT with long hot showers and loofahs…

IN with ice cold bucket baths and baby wipes.

OUT with ice cold milk in a jug…

IN with lukewarm milk in a box.

OUT with washers and dryers…

IN with hand washing and line drying.

OUT with feather pillows and down comforters…

IN with camp pillows and sleeping bags.

OUT with carrying a purse…

IN with rockin the fanny pack.

OUT with shaving cream and razors…

IN with once-a-month leg hair trimmings. ;-P

OUT with flushing toilet paper down the toilet…

IN with throwing it in the trashcan with everybody else’s.

OUT with trusting taxi drivers, bathroom attendants and stray dogs…

IN with suspicion, caution and pepper spray. ;-P

OUT with consuming a well-balanced diet…

IN with rice and bread, bread and rice.

OUT with dominating in basketball…

IN with getting dominated in soccer.

OUT with a variety of fresh, clean clothes…

IN with wearing the same two dirty outfits over and over again.

OUT with ants staying in their own homes…

IN with ants invading everything from your bed to your cereal bowl.

OUT with withdrawing cash at the ATM ‘fo free’…

IN with starving your little piggy bank due to int’l withdrawal fees.

OUT with driving your air-conditioned car somewhere quickly…

IN with walking in the sweltering heat for a really long time.

OUT with calling, texting or tweeting…

IN with smoke signals and telegrams.

OUT with personal space…

IN with suffocation and claustrophobia.

OUT with good hair days…

IN with…not-so-good hair days.  ๐Ÿ™‚

OUT with COMFORT…
IN with GROWTH.

OUT with ME…
IN with HIM.

“He must become GREATER; I must become LESS.”
