I’m taking a break from the “Life in Death” series to share
what’s going on my heart RIGHT NOW, rather than playing catch-up from two
months ago.  J

One of my prayers before leaving in January, was to come out of
these eleven months

LOVING more like God loves.

A love that is patient, kind, not jealous, doesn’t brag,
isn’t arrogant, doesn’t act unbecomingly, doesn’t seek its own, isn’t provoked
doesn’t take into account a wrong suffered, doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness,
rejoices with the truth, bears all things, believes all things, endures all
things.

(1 Corinthians 13:4-8)

For God is love.  And
love never fails.

Little did I know that in order to love like He loves, we
must first KNOW His love

For us.

“We love because He first loved us.”

(1 John 4:19)

As Paul prayed for the Ephesian church:

“that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to
comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and
depth, and to KNOW the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be
filled up to all the fullness of God.”

(Ephesians 3:17-19)

KNOW – Greek “Ginosko”

to become intimately
aquainted with

to understand completely

jewish idiom for sexual intercourse between and man and woman

 ______________

One thing God has spoken to me over and over again lately is
this:

“My Beloved…Be loved by Me.”

“Seek Me…KNOW Me…KNOW My love.

 “Rest in My love for
you.”

 ______________

He also gave me a vision in February:

It was a vision of myself, but I was almost
unrecognizable.

There were flames of
fire burning in my eyes and a glow that surrounded me.

It was warm and inviting, yet intensely
passionate and all-consuming.

Then I heard two different songs this week that brought revelation for that vision…

here are the
lyrics that stood out:

Spontaneous Song 4 – Kim Walker

Look straight into the eyes of love.

The flames of love that burn in His eyes for you.

Eyes that burn with the flames of love.

Those flames are a consuming fire.

All-consuming fire, burn in me.

Come and burn in me.

Obsession – Jesus Culture

My heart burns for You.

Forever keep me burning with the fire of Your love.

Then I watched ‘Prince Caspian’, the second movie in the
Chronicles of Narnia series…

the relationship between Lucy and Aslan stirring something deep within me.

I couldn’t get the following scene out of my
head:

As I played this scene over and over in my mind, I was
reminded of another song:

Jonathan David Helser – “I’ve Seen I Am”

 I looked
into the eyes of a lion

Felt the
courage in his gaze

I heard him
roar my name with passion

As I buried
my tears in his mane

I looked
into the eyes of a lamb

I saw love
face to face

I felt
grace destroy my sin

As mercy
flowed from his veins

I’ve seen I
AM,

now I know
that I am
loved

I’ve seen I
AM,

now I know
who I am

I looked
into the eyes of a king

I saw the
beauty of holiness

I heard the
voice of many waters

As worship
poured from my lips

I’ve seen I
AM,

now I know
that I am
loved

I’ve seen I
AM,

now I know
who I am

I looked
into the eyes of a savior

I saw a
love stronger than death

I kissed
the scars that bought my freedom

As I laid
my head on his chest

 ______________

So, to describe where I’m at right now…

I am in AWE of the

love of God.

I am KNOWING,

becoming intimately acquainted with,

His love for me.

I am resting in that love.

And the
funny thing is…

I’m finding that the more I gaze into His eyes,

Eyes that
are burning with
love for me…

The more my
eyes reflect His.

Flames of
love are now burning in my eyes

For Him…

And for
others too.
