The title of this blog is funny…
Because if there’s anything I’ve learned in the last few years, it’s that
IT’S NOT ABOUT ME!!
My story is really just a part of His.
Regardless, I can give you a few fun facts and a little history to mill over π You’ll quickly realize, as I have, that everything somehow manages to point back to the Lord…I love that about Him. π
So, in short…God got ahold of me my Sophomore year of high school through the influence of a couple teammates and my assistant basketball coach.
[Shout out to Coach Melton….THANK YOU!!! :)].
He used FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) to grow me up in the faith throughout the rest of high school and college.
I graduated from Tennessee Tech University in May of 2006 with a degree in Business Management (HR & Spanish), and have led quite the nomadic lifestyle since then…:)
*Marketing Manager for a medical facility* Women’s Work Crew Boss at a Christian Family Dude Ranch in Colorado* Tour Director for student adventure/mission trips in Costa Rica* JV basketball coach in Dallas, TX* Driver Helper for UPS* Trade Show sales for a windchime company*…
And now….
THIS!! π
I really stand in awe of the Lord…I turned all my desires over to Him, and here He goes granting them! π In a nutshell, my “story” is a story of redemption in every way …
“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
(Romans 8:28)
Through my silly mistakes, rebellion and religion, He has always been faithful to take what “Satan meant for harm” and “turn it into good” (Genesis 50:20) in order to bring His Name glory!
A few random facts for you to get to know me a little better:
-My name means “Butterfly”, which rightfully fits my free-spirited nature.
-I drink my coffee through a straw in hopes of keeping my pearly whites white. π
-It seems as though the moment I sit in a car or a salon chair my eyelids shut. haha
-I LOVE Aspen trees, acoustic/folk music, making memories and talking to old people. π
-I could play just about any sport all day long and never get tired of it.
-Put me in the sunshine and I’m happy. Can’t help it. π
-The smell of clean laundry is my favorite.
-I name everything I own…(i.e. Gertrude the spanish-speaking GPS, Vinnie the mobster Volvo, Ernie the Eno hammock….I could go on…) π
-I REALLY want to learn how to play the guitar.
-I love to sing but am terrified to do it in front of people. π
-No matter the size of the bed, I’ll always scoot down till my feet hang off the bottom edge. π
Anywho, if you ever feel like hearing an incredible God-story, hit me up. I’ve got quite a few in my repertoire these days! He’s so good!! π
