California girl, that’s what they call me. I am 21 years old, and I am indeed from California. Although I grew up in the season filled Northern California, I now reside in sunny Southern California, Orange County to be exact. I am currently finishing up my last semester of my Bachelor’s Degree at Vanguard University and have loved my four growing years here.

I have spent quite a bit of time away from home, but thankfully my parents have been the most supportive people in this journey. My mom and dad, Sheri and Louis, have shown me the meaning of dreaming big and never giving up. My sister Jasmine, 19, is a lot smarter than me (science doesn’t like me) and my 12 year old brother can take me down in a heartbeat with his jiu-jitsu skills (as well as chess, any day).

I work a lot for a student, but I love my job. I work for my school in the fundraising department since we are a nonprofit. Which is exactly what I feel God has put on my heart from a very young age. Nonprofits are growing, and I want to help them grow well. I have no clue what this will look like in the future, but I know that God will take care of the details.

People tell me that I’ve grown a lot in the past four years in college, what a relief! It’s felt like a lot more bad days than good, a lot more tough seasons than smooth, and a whole lot more hard work than easy. I am grateful for every moment, every professor, every friend, every mentor, and every tear because I really wouldn’t be here without it all.

It’s really hard to feel the weight of it all, World Race. This opportunity really did just roll right into my life and every part of it has felt right. It is scary at times, and the doubts and fear really do creep in, but just when I start to question things, God reminds me very clearly that this is the plan. I am so excited for this journey ahead, I can’t wait to meet my team!

Please, please, please begin to pray for me and my squadmates as we are working very hard to spread the word about what we are going to be doing and receiving emotional and financial support.
