One thing I've learned on the Race is that God speaks in unusual ways. He can speak through unexpected people, nature, and even songs. And sometimes He chooses to speak through a pop princess.
See, all through Asia, a common word I heard from God was fearless. For someone who likes the background and doesn't necessarily like being in the spotlight, it's been hard to learn how to be bold and to speak up about what God's been pouring into me. In this season of my life, God has been pushing me into the spotlight, so to speak. He's been confirming over and over that He wants me to be a lion, prophetess, and prayer warrior. Common Biblical heroes He has compared me to are Queen Esther and Isaiah. It's scary to have stuff like this prayed over you and confirmed in you. Some days I want to go back to being a quiet little mouse and crawl back into my comfortable hole. On those days I need a little push.

When I need a boost of confidence, the lyrics of Roar always pop into my head. Silly, I know, but when you've been called to be a lion for God, the song is appropriate and really gets you pumped up to do whatever He asks of you! Yes, it's scary putting myself out there, standing up and speaking out. But I know that He gives me the strength, so I don't have to be afraid to fight for him. After all, I have a pretty sweet theme song.
