This month, Team Beautifully Rooted was tasked with the job of Unsung Heroes. This meant we traversed the beautiful country of Albania, looking for new ministries and contacts for AIM to partner with in the future. We began our journey in Tirana, the Albanian capital.
While in Tirana, we had the opportunity to meet Johannes and Kim, in addition to their precious baby girl. This sweet family hails from Germany, and came to Albania with the intent of starting a sponsorship program for children with special needs. They have only been in Albania for a few months, so they are nowhere near ready to host a World Race team or any other team. But we were so encouraged hearing their hearts for Albania and their heart for obedience to Jesus. We also loved the chance to encourage and pray over them! It was so cool to meet a brother and sister in Christ and hear their passion for what the Lord has told them to do.
Please be in prayer for Johannes and Kim, as they seek the Lord in exactly what the next steps are for setting up their ministry. Pray that they would learn the language quickly. And pray also for Kim, that Jesus would bring her a friend to share life with. It’s very hard for a missionary wife with a small child to find companionship in a country not her own.
