Ni Hao from Harbin!

No, I didn't slip up and accidently give away a secret. Harbin, China is where I sit right now, writing this blog. It is where I'll be doing ministry for the next two weeks with my team and the rest of my squad. We'll be making contacts in the city, sharing the Gospel, and building friendships. Our contact is really open about what he's doing here, and he wants us to be as well. How freeing! As celebration of our freedom in Christ and with full blessing from our contact, our squad had morning worship today. In the open. In China.

Ya'll.

Is that not mind-blowing? When most people think of China, they think of a totally closed country, where people are tortured and imprisoned for the Gospel. And yes, this still happens. But the country is changing. God is drawing the Chinese people to Himself. He is calling them to be His children. So why should we hide the one thing they desperately need? This is why U Squad confidently worshiped and prayed together this morning in the courtyard outside our apartment building, which is one of many in a complex. Many people walked by, stopped and stared, started conversation, or just sat and soaked in the music and the prayer. It was amazing. God spoke to a lot of us, declaring that He is claiming China for Himself! He is pursuing China as His bride, as His child, as His beloved. We are His tools this month, sharing our joy and our hope with a people who have none. How beautiful it is! Celebrate with us! I look forward to freely sharing what God does these next two weeks through us!
