Sunday morning, during our open worship in the middle of Harbin, China (see previous post!) we all participated in listening prayer. This is where you open yourself to hear what God wants to tell you. It's still a very new thing for me, but so incredible to hear God speak. Sometimes He speaks to me through visions that I draw out, and sometimes through words. I had both on Sunday. He began speaking a letter to China to me, and I furiously wrote it out in unusually sloppy handwriting. I'd like to share it with you:

China,

My Beloved.

Oh, how I have longed for you!

You have been chosen by me. I have seen you from afar and I have paid the bride-price set for you.

I paid it with my life. Nothing is too extravagant for you. You are worth it.

See, I am calling you out of the house of your ancestors.

I long to give you a new name, a new identity in Me. You will find freedom in My house.

I will unbind your feet.

You think they have been unbound and that you have freedom, but you are deceived.

Let me unwrap your bindings, let me cleanse and heal you.

Let me give you the strength to dance for me!

Let me clothe you in the red wedding clothes. Red for the blood, the price I have paid for you.

I love you, I adore you, my Beloved. You are a nation like no other. I am calling you.

Calling you with the voice of the changing wind. Change is coming, Beloved. Will you accept it?

Are you ready to step into my promise?

Love,

Your Bridegroom
