I’ve been living in Craiova Romania, with 23+ people, on the world race, for three full weeks now, and I love it. From living in community, I’ve learned how to be more selfless and understanding through sharing a room with 6 other girls, and sharing a bathroom with half the squad. My favorite thing about living in community would have be the constant joy that radiates throughout the entire home all day and night. Prior to the race, I thought I would never get any alone time to simply breathe and be alone. I was quickly proven wrong. As my teammate Emi said, we are able to be alone together in our room with our team. It’s really beautiful how my team of calm and loving spirited people can be all together in one room, yet alone at the same time. Sometimes we rest in our separate corners of the room, silently reading, sleeping, writing, etc. and other times, we get to laugh and have seriously the best, most joyful time together.
Now heres a vlog I put together that captures what it’s like living with the x-squad in Romania…. warning: it’s basically just all the weird, crazy, silly, fun, but also sweet moments.hope you enjoy.
