I just emailed V squad their Christmas greeting and I'm hoping to hear back from the T squad soon so we can send them one as well.
The V squad leaders are willing to send along our declarations over their squad as well.
I don't know when they launch but I'm aiming to have this finished and ready to go before Jan. 1, 2011.
SOOO… Lets just start declaring stuff!
This is your chance to practice opening your heart and your ears to hear what God is saying, just like we did at camp. What is God telling us to declare over the V squad?
Please pray this through and post what comes to mind, even if it seems simple or whatever. What may not seem like a lot to us just might be exactly what God is speaking to them and they need to hear it.
I guess I'll start…
When I pray for or think about V Squad I think 'FIERCE'.
The army theme they were going with rings true. They are WARRIORS.
MIGHTY men and women of influence, integrity and righteousness.
They will not be silent. They will not back down or step aside. They are marching into battle and nothing is going to deter them. They march as a unit. They are an elite fighting force and not only do they fight fiercely for justice in the world around them, they also watch each others backs. They know the value of community. They know that without their brothers and sisters standing strong, watching their backs, they are vulnerable to attack. They value their comrades at arms and they will stop at nothing to protect those relationships.
They are strong and they are fierce when it comes to justice. They will stop at nothing to see God's Kingdom come, God's Will be done on this earth. That means children will not go hungry, they will not be forced to sell their bodies, they will not be abused and they will not need to abuse any kind of drug. Women will not be forced to sell themselves or see abuse. Men will not be distant, detatched fathers, me will be strong and empowered by the love of Christ. Men will be MEN. Above all, in every situation and circumstance God WILL be honoured…
