Hey U Squad!
There is now a 'Discussion' catagory on our blog.
Here's the reasoning behind it. Training camp was crazy in a lot of ways. Surrender. Crazy food. Awesome Activities. God, God and MORE God! But, at least for me, a major learning curve as well.
It was a lot of information to take in and they gave us a lot of unanswered questions to consider. We're all back in the 'real' world now and I don't want any of us to stop thinking about those questions. Keep thinking about what you learned at camp. Keep seeking to hear the voice of God. Keep asking those questions.
This catagory is a tool for us to do just that.
If you have some thoughts on something that you learned, experienced or found challenging at camp and would like feedback about it then please write a post about it and put it in the discussion catagory. Chances are you are not the only one wondering about it and maybe someone else's perspective can add to something God is trying to teach you.
There is a very important rule and I think that we can hold each other accountable to it. Because we all have very diverse backgrounds and different opinions about certain topics we must love the people that God loves. We must honour each other with all of our responses and any discussion that arises. You can be respectful without agreeing with someone else's opinion. If you're doubting whether or not a response is respectful or honouring to your squadmates then don't post it.
We have spent a good amount of time declaring U-Squad as U-nified. Having unity does not mean that everyone agrees about every little detail. It means that we have unity in the majors (Jesus is God) and diversity in the minors (men should not wear purple in church).
We are a community. Regardless of our individual thoughts and ideas we have to live with each other. Let's get a good start on it by learning how to treat each other with tolerance and love early on. After all I'm pretty sure God doesn't agree with everything that we think and believe all of the time, (especially about him), but he still loves us unconditionally and desires relationship with us.
They will know we are Christians by our love…
