World Race January 2010
Stories from the Field

In just a few months The World Race will
be sending out another group of young people who are passionate about seeing
God’s kingdom come to earth-the
whole earth. Serve in places like Africa, Romania, Ukraine, Eastern Europe…and
more.
Wouldn’t you like the next year of your
life to take you on an adventure that will change the course of your
future? The World Race is coming and that adventure awaits you.
God Knows So Much Better – Heather ReedWe were not “supposed” to be
here this month. We were “supposed” to be in another part of the
country and another team was “supposed” to be here, but we had
translation problems or logistical mix up or something and got here instead and
it is really cool because we are in a rockin’ house with beds for all of us. We
have an amazing view of the mountains and a cool steeple.
What Could Be Better? – Jessica Bauman
I fell in love
with the sweetest old woman in Romania and never even knew her name! She
lived across the street from us in Viile Tecci and her 10-year-old grandson;
Gigi would always invite people over to play with him. I finally gave
in one day and am glad I did, because I had a blast. I kicked the soccer ball
around with him, got pulled on a wagon, sang songs, and watched American
cartoons dubbed in Romanian…what could be better!
To the Men… – Shannon Morgan
In the midst of
all that is going on here in Arad, I want to take this time to focus on a
section of my team that really deserves some praise. Even though each person on
my team has shown me and the people around us the love of Christ in the most
tangible way, I want to shine the spotlight on these men of mine.
Austin Anglea, from Dallas, Texas shares
highlights from the Ireland leg of the race. Highlights include a street
ministry encounter with members of the Ireland National Kayaking Team.
