:: What is the Word Race? ::
The World Race is an 11-month Christian mission trip to 11 different countries around the world, and it’s not your typical missions experience. It’s a year of adventure, ministry, community and self-discovery. World Racers develop broken hearts that propel their hands to act for God’s kingdom around the globe. The best part of the World Race is it’s merely the beginning of a life-long journey. Check out this video and learn more:

In January of 2010, The World Race is sending out another group of young people who are passionate about seeing God’s kingdom come to earth – the whole earth. You could be one of them.Visit New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand…and more. Think about it: Wouldn’t you like the next year of your life to take you on an adventure that will change the course of your future? The World Race is coming and that adventure awaits you.

Every few months the AIM offices become a popular destination for young men and women from all over the country, preparing for the journey of a lifetime. These individuals are the latest World Racers, around 50-100 young adults getting ready to share Christ’s love with 11 countries in 11 months. Family in Galway – Chelsea DiPaoloWe have been so blessed by Abundant Life church. Their passion for prayer, for the lost, for knowing God, and for loving each other is so inspiring to us. They have accepted our team in and ministered alongside of us and showed us love. I am continually amazed at the love and kindness shown to us and in how such a short time we can build such a bond with fellow believers.

Learning from Children – Benjamin VealeIf you haven’t guessed by now, I tend to get humbled a lot by children. God says that we must become like a child to enter the kingdom of heaven. My grampa used to say be a child twice and an adult once. When I was around 4th grade, I started desiring to be an elementary teacher…in my head it made sense that if I was suppose to have childlike faith, then children should be my examples and so I should find a way to be with kids all my life.

What I Want to Leave Behind – Erin Winget Yesterday was a beautiful day here in Granada, Nicaragua. The morning was cool and breezy and the church here at the AIM base where we are staying called El Puente (the Bridge) had a combined service at 10am with another church down the road called Total Fuente. The praise and worship was lead by Carlos, one of the guys that lives here with us and Heather, a staff member.

Ireland Video
Check out this video from Daina Norusis of Illinois. Daina highlights her 3 weeks in Ireland where they washed windows of local businesses and homes, cleaned toilets of businesses, passed out energy saving light bulbs, witnessed healing on the streets, passed out lollies to anyone and everyone, hung up fliers, picked up trash, worked Sunday’s service, passed out food, cleaned the church, and prayer walked the city.
More and more people are going deeper in their relationship with Christ through their participation in The World Race. Lives are being transformed.
