Amy Hirabayashi of 2014 E Squad witnessed a miracle in India when the lame walked.
This month has been insane. It has been absolutely, spectacularly crazy! The Lord loves India so much, that has been so evident. He loves all of the people of India, all of the 1.25 billion people who live here. He loves them so much. It has been so amazing to witness His love for them.
We witnessed the Lord’s love for this one man who had been in a severe elevator accident. He and his two daughters had gotten stuck in an elevator. He was able to successfully get the two girls to safety, but as he was trying to escape himself, he fell five stories down the elevator shaft. By the grace of God he survived, but he suffered spinal chord injury which debilitated him. We met him in his house one night. He was in a wheelchair and had limited mobility to his legs. He could not move his left leg or foot whatsoever.
We began praying over this man, asking the Lord to please heal him and to open this man’s heart to fully receive the Lord’s love. See, this family was a Hindu family, but since the accident, the Lord has been pursuing the family immensely, surrounding them with Christians and slowly opening their eyes to the Father’s love.
We prayed and worshiped. It was beautiful. And then we asked him to try to stand. He was reluctant at first, but then two of our girls shared how they felt the Lord strongly desiring for this man to try to stand and walk. I too had heard this from the Lord through a vision – while we were praying over him the Lord showed me a vision of him standing and walking.
Upon hearing all of this, he slowly pushed himself up to stand, and he did! Then his wife brought over a walker, and this man began to walk! Step by step, slow and steady, this man was walking! This man who had fallen five stories down an elevator shaft and whom the doctors told he would never be able to walk again was walking! He was walking! It was crazy!

The immense love the Lord had for this man was so evident! You could feel the Lord’s presence in the room, and you could see the Lord working in this man’s heart by the tears that were welling up in his eyes. The Lord was not only physically healing this man’s legs and feet, He was healing his heart. The Lord was healing this man’s heart, and the hearts of all of his family members who were present in the room. It was crazy! It was so beautiful!
This is only one story of how the Lord has been moving in India. He loves India so much. I have been so blessed to be a witness to the Lord’s love here.
