Many World Race alumni and current Racers have been to Haiti – and we still remember.

Stephanie Tyrna, who’s currently in Cambodia, still remembers:
Last year on January 12, 2010 there was a 7.0 earthquake that shook Haiti to mass destruction, with a death toll of 200,000-250,000 people.
I flew down to Haiti 10 days after the earthquake and stayed for several months. What I saw and experienced was something I will never forget.
The stories of each of the people I met will be engrained in my heart forever.
As I led short-term relief teams in Port-au-Prince, we walked around to many different tent communities and we came across this one community that did not even have tarps or tents. It had been raining and these people did not even have shelter. My heart broke.
The need was so great. Most times too much to comprehend or bear.
Please remember Haiti today as they are still living in tent communities and still suffering great trials.

Watch the video below through the end to find out what we can do.

Here are the some of the stories we shared on this blog.  Alumni, current Racers, and anyone else reading who’s been to Haiti: how do you remember?  Share your stories and thoughts in the comments section!
