At last, the routes of the January 2013 World Race are up on our site.

Now before you click away and begin your application, you should know that:

Routes are subject to change.

The order of the countries, which countries comprise the route — depending on variables like political situation and natural phenomena (namely, the weather) — might be different from the time you apply to the time you begin the Race, and even during the Race. We do our best to stick to the published Route and prepare accordingly, but you will learn first-hand that following the move of God around the world requires flexibility, or, as we like to phrase it, “holding all things loosely.”

The harvest is plentiful, but workers are few.

Yes, the church typically understands Jesus’ words as quoted in the gospels of Matthew and Luke through the lens of missions. That is, the harvest = people who need to be reached; workers = missionaries who will reach them.

You — hopeful, potential, future Racers — are the workers.
The question is: are you ready to go get the harvest?  We’re ready to send you.

So that’s it. Have at it. We encourage you, nay, double-dog dare you to go ahead and apply for the January 2013 routes.
