We went out for door-to-door ministry and were approached by a man who wanted us to pray for his wife, Irene. For the past two weeks, she had been suffering from pain in her right hip, so much pain that she was unable to stand, walk, work, or sleep. The pain came from childbirth; the baby was too big and didn’t survive. We saw the pain on her face and can only imagine the pain in her heart. We began to pray for healing…– Amy
When we finished praying for her, we looked at her face to see what had happened. A smile came over her face and she said she was all better! We asked her to check herself out and she proceeded to stand up, move her leg, walk, and squat up and down…– Andrew

We have been going door to door… meeting people, forming relationships with them, praying for peace in their community, and looking for places to plant churches in the future… [On] our last day we came to revisit people we knew and say goodbye. We didn’t plan to meet anyone new or visit any houses that we hadn’t visited, but God had other plans.
As we were walking through Berrinche, a small offshoot of Corral, a woman named Edith came running down the road calling to us. She grabbed our hands and insisted that we come to her house immediately… and literally pulled us toward her house. When we got there and sat down on her patio, she began to explain why it was so imperative that we come.

I was 27. I lived in my own totally awesome apartment (with a sweet book collection, hip posters of old cigarette ads I got in China and a fridge always stocked with good beer) in the “cool” part of town where my two favorite bars were in walking distance from my front door. (Or as I used to brag, they were in perfect stumbling distance from my front door.)
I worked for a newspaper as a photographer and writer. As long as my stories and photos were in by deadline on Thursday afternoon, no one really kept tabs on me. So, my week looked like this…
I was depressed. I hated myself for being such a waste. I hated myself for being fat and lazy and not reaching my potential. I hated myself for going nowhere in life. I hated life for having nothing deep or meaningful to offer…
That was two years ago… Just two years ago…
