“Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?”
― Mary Oliver, New and Selected Poems
Going on the World Race is a risk. It’s an abandonment of all things comfortable and a jump into the total unknown. We leave plans and assurances behind with warm water and a queen-sized bed.
But regardless of what’s left behind, the end of your comfort zone is where life begins.
God doesn’t call us to a safe life – in fact, he promises us an adventure. He promises us that life with him will be anything but safe, requiring more of us than we think we can give.
And it’s when we step out into that unknown with him, that we get to experience true, wild, abundant life.

This is the essence of the World Race.
It’s an experience beyond yourself, an experience that pushes you past your limits and into life where you’re relying on the Lord.
It’s wild and abundant and free – full of adventure and life and more beauty and heartache than you realize the world could ever have held.
World Racers are passionate people, full of tears and hugs and boundless energy. They’ve had their hearts broken for orphans in Uganda, widows in Peru, and businessmen on Wall Street. They’ve discovered what they’re passionate about, what they’re good at, and what makes them come alive.
But what happens next?
What keeps many World Racers up at night, before they leave and years after they come home? Dreams of changing the world, and prayers that, one day, these dreams become reality.
What does a passionate but inexperienced generation do to live out the dreams burning in them like a candle in a dark room?
They ask for help.
If you’ve ever seen the show Shark Tank, you’ve watched entrepreneurs pitch their dreams and ideas to a panel of experienced, successful businessmen and women. You’ve sat on the edge of your seat as you wonder whose idea will be chosen and funded – whose dream is about to come true.
Now imagine a shark tank for Racers’ kingdom dreams.
Welcome to The Dream Project.
Beginning April 1st, a group of World Race Alumni will have an opportunity to see their dreams become reality.
We’re creating a place for these passionate dreamers to be mentored and taught by the wisdom and experience of the generation ahead of them, cultivating a process for these ideas to be curated and tended to, going from an idea to a reality.
At the end of six months, we’ll invite this group of dreamers to Atlanta to pitch their best ideas, with the chance to win a $5,000, $10,000 or $15,000 grant.
With experience, guidance, and funding, these unconventional dreamers will have no limits.
As you're preparing to leave for the World Race, or preparing for the season that comes next, what are you dreaming of?
What will you do with your wild and precious life? Are you ready for your next adventure?
