We love our alumni!  Here is
one of many encouraging stories from Shaun and Bethany’s (our beloved Alumni
Racers
) adventure around the US visiting WR alumni who are continuing to choose
to live great stories months and years after their World Race.

This story is from Ryan Hurd (R Squad) about his time with our Alumni
Racers.

God blessed me through Shaun and Bethany’s visit to Memphis, TN. First
of all, I was blessed because I was able to pick them up from Jackson, TN to
bring them to Memphis. I always love when God uses me for His purposes.

On the way to Jackson, one of my friends, Zach, who was not saved, rode
along with me to pick them up. While we were riding in the car, I was talking
to Shaun and Bethany about the different things God was doing in Memphis and
what He had done on the World Race. Through that simple conversation, Zach was
able to hear the gospel and it connected with his spirit. Two weeks later after
Shaun and Bethany left Memphis, I was able to have a spirit filled conversation
with Zach and the next day he accepted Christ as his Lord and savior!

The next blessing I experienced was in the form of unity. While Shaun
and Bethany were in Memphis we were able to meet up with a few WR alumni. I had
no idea that there were people in my area that had gone on the World Race. This
was a huge blessing to find some people that have experienced some of the same
things that I have experienced. I have been blessed by God to meet some more
Christ following believers in my area and we have stayed in touch since Bethany
and Shaun have left.

Sending Bethany and Shaun around the United States to visit alumni was
an excellent idea. Through this trip, I believe that God has brought unity
among believers in areas around the United States.
