Royalty. Daughter. Power. Authority. Creativity.

Our newest Featured Racer Aisha Davis embodies these words. This girl knows who she is — a daughter of God — and it's awesome.

If you missed our recent feature article about Aisha, you can read some of her story here.

Aisha, who is finishing her Race this week with January 2012 D Squad, has had quite the journey these past 11 months. She's had typhoid, hookworms, peptic ulcers, and malaria — all at one time! She's experienced being hot and covered in dirt with no running water in sight.

She's had to learn to see beyond herself while realizing who she is: royalty.

After being in a depression for years, she's now so confident that her God is a good dad who loves her that she had "Abba, I belong to You" tattooed on her arm as a reminder. This isn't just a fleeting idea to Aisha, now it will forever be a part of her. She's constantly reminded that she is a daughter of the king.

And as a daughter of God, she's been given an inheritance of power.

Aisha has realized that her life is not her own: she has been bought with a price and she has God-given responsibility. "Because no matter what," Aisha remarks, "I am not my own. This life is about the kingdom. It's not just dying to yourself daily, it's dying to yourself each moment and letting the Spirit inside of you step out."

This girl has authority. When she walks into a room, the atmosphere shifts.

Aisha has realized that as a powerful daughter of the creator of the universe, she gets to join in restoring life to the world. She has the power to shift the atmosphere of hearts, lives and settings by bringing hope and healing.

"If I choose to use my gifts for good I can be a part of 'Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.' If not, then I am wasting them and missing out on so much good and beauty, ultimately making myself miserable."

Aisha gets to bring the kingdom of God to earth in a way that showcases her walking in the image of creator God. This girl is powerfully creative and plans to use her talents to bring healing to her generation. On the Race, she began to practice living out her plans.

In Romania, Aisha stepped into a role where she used this creativity to bring healing to many areas of her teammate's lives. Her team then engaged in "Creative Counseling" sessions on a regular basis. She began to see how she could make a difference in people's lives on the Race. But she didn't stop there.

Aisha found the perfect outlet for her creativity in Southeast Asia. While working at Won-Gen cafe in Northern Thailand, she was approached about teaching jewelry making, sewing and painting to women saved from the sex trade, so they could make a living from the creative arts and not have to return to the bars of the Red Light districts.

"I was standing there," she recalls, "receiving an invitation that I've been waiting for my whole life. I heard the Father's voice saying, 'This is the inheritance I was talking about. This is your promised land.'"

By combining the creative gifts God has given her with the power and authority she's received as a daughter of God, this girl will change more than Thailand. Aisha is going to change the world.

Will you?
