Lately I have been questioning whether or not Christ has truly called me to go on The World Race. I mean who am I? I am just Andrew. I cannot speak convincingly about Christ's love. I can barely go a day without breaking the commandment of "love your neighbor". Why would Christ want me to go? What could I do for him? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! By myself on my best days I am nothing more than filthy rags before our perfectly Holy God. But through His Grace, and through the Holy Spirit I will be able to speak whatever Christ wants the person that I am speaking with, to hear.
I have also been questioning if I am supposed to go because fundraising has been going slow. It has been going slow for a variety of reasons. One being my pride to get in the way of asking people to sponsor me on service trip for Christ. Another being my procrastination at getting the little things done. A third being lost at organizing such events as a fundraiser. But even though my support account shows a big gap between where I am and where I need to be just to launch, let alone be fully funded I know that Christ called me to do this and with that call he will provide the path.
If you came across this and are wondering how you may be able to help. I need to support raise $15,500 to be fully funded. It would take approxiomately 50 people donating $50/month for six months to be fully funded. But any amount no matter the size gets me closer to meeting the deadlines.
The deadlines that we are given are:
$3500.00 by May 5th, 2012-Two weeks before Training Camp.
$6500.00 by June 17th, 2012- Two weeks before launch. (Without this I do not launch)
$11,000 by October 1st, 2012-End of three months on the field.
$15,500 by January 1st, 2013-End of six months on the field.
If you would like to support me but feel that you are unable to do so financially. Prayer support is needed just as much if not more. And will be GREATLY appreciated.
Please pray for me to give control back to God. For me to give up my pride. And for me to continue growing in Christ daily. Also please pray for the people all around the world that are being affected by the human trafficking and sex trade industry. For the people in the persecuted nations that they will be able to one day worship openly with out a death threat. For those here in America that are living without knowing Christ's love.
