This blog is a story about my wonderful teammate Sarita (Sarah Perotto)

Upon arriving at our ministry site our host Lauren asked some of us to clean out their tilapia tank. The tank had some nasty algae, old stale stinky water, rocks, and a few tilapias in it. Sarah volunteered to be the one to enter the tank. Lauren had retrieved a plastic garbage bag for Sarah to wear into the tank to prevent water from getting on her. I had placed a ten foot ladder into the tank for her to go down in. Once Sarah had descended the ladder into the pit of flesh eating bacteria, I handed her a five gallon pail to fill up with water. When she was handing it back to me I had lost my grip and dumped half the bucket right on her head. She was not impressed. The child in my heart had seen a very humorous thing take place and I was laughing uncontrollably. I was trying to apologize, but only laughter was coming out. Fast forwarding one week Sarah, Meg, and I are finishing the process of cleaning the tank. We had lowered the water level enough by this point so we only need to get the rocks and garbage out of the tank. We no longer fear the flesh eating bacteria so Sarah and Meg braved the ladder and descended once again into the pit. While down their Sarah and Meg start launching rocks full force out of the tank, and out of revenge for dropping the water on her or what I do not know but Sarah throws a rock and hits me right in my ankle after I asked her ever so nicely to switch what side of the tank she was throwing rocks on. When I went to the edge to let her know that she had hit me and to ask her nicely to be more careful. She had locked eyes with mine and said “Why don't you get your *** (booty) down in here yourself?” She had left me frightened upon hearing that and I slowly descended the rickety ladder into the pit of toads, tilapia, and tilapia turds. Through this I had learned to be more careful and that Sarah truly is a gracious teammate to have, and I am blessed because of her.
