Mark 16:17-18 “And these signs shall follow them that believe….they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

I had the wonderful opportunity to link up last week with my now good friend Prophet Kent Simpson. He invited me to go with him to Batson, Texas and pray for his friend Tommy who was having bladder infections and other health issues. While we were down there praying for Tommy, a pastor of a local church there met us at Tommy and Roberta’s house. After talking with him and his wife for about an hour he asked me if I would like to preach at his church Sunday morning and Sunday night. I told him I wasn’t really a preacher and that I had never spoke twice in one day before…..so yes I would love to do it! Ha ha ha I love this attitude inside of me, it’s childlike faith! I know who my Daddy is and through Him I can do anything!

So fast forward to yesterday morning. I am speaking at a small church of 100 or so, I’ve only been to this town once and that was only 2 days before this. I don’t know anyone there, I don’t have much of a plan of what I am going to say, I don’t have a clue how everything is going to work, in fact I don’t even know how I got there! But I do know this, I have Jesus and He commands signs and wonders to follow where I go as long as I believe. Ha ha signs and wonders have to follow me because I believe! 🙂

I get to service about an hour early to seek God for a little while and I can’t stop weeping. It’s about 9:30 and after getting up at 6 I’ve been sobbing almost all morning. God has so much compassion for people and I am about to share with some of them what God has done in my life and ask Him to do the same for them. Such an honor. So I see an elderly lady sitting near one of the back pews and I ask her if she has any pain in her body. She says she does in both her right knee and left ankle. Okay, well lets pray ma’am and it’ll be gone, Jesus will heal you. So I prayed once…. still pain…..so I prayed again….. less pain…..prayed again, no pain! In fact the cracking and creaking in her knee stopped under my hand as we prayed! She was bending her leg back in forth in faith believing God would heal her, and He did under my hand! Go Jesus!!

So I’m fired up now! I’ve been getting so mad at sickness lately and I’m seeking it out everywhere I go like a hunter goes after prey. As I’m pacing back and forth in the back of the church in walks an older lady on crutches. Part of me looked at her in despair and a hint of fear, oh no…. I’m gonna pray for sick people at the end of service and believe God is going to heal them but she’s like really hurt…she’s so hurt in fact that she walked in on crutches. You know that feeling. What if I pray and nothing happens? Then something amazing happened. That little child of faith leapt in my heart again! What if I pray and something does?! What if I pray and she walks away without crutches?!

So I approached her, “Ma’am, I see you’re in pain, what's going on?” she mentions something about her right knee hurting and I ask her if I can pray for her. She agrees. I put my hand on her right knee and command it to be new and whole in Jesus name, I command the pain to let her go in Jesus name! So in faith I ask her to move it. She winces in pain and can barely move it, like not even bend at all but just lift it off the floor.. So I tell her I am gonna pray again and I do. I ask her to move it again and this time she can bend it but there is still pain. Awesome, thank you God,  we are getting somewhere. One more time, I lay my hands on her knee and command the pain to leave again in Jesus name. Then I did something that I’ve read about in books, but have never done myself. I said to the lady:

“Ma’am give me your crutches, you don’t need them anymore"

She looks at me, hands me her crutches and she begins to walk!! Pain free, healed in the name of Jesus! Boom! We walk together pain free to her seat. She looks back at me in amazement and asks”who are you?”. I tell her, "my name is Andy and I believe in Jesus." She has been using crutches since June and God healed her yesterday BEFORE SERVICE EVEN STARTED! God is good, my faith is growing and I am walking in Truth.

God was just getting started. When service started they were taking up praise requests, the first lady raised her hand and told everyone about the young man on the front row laying his hands on her knee and ankle and God healing them. Then the lady in crutches raised her hand and mentioned the same thing about the young man that had just prayed for her and pointed to her crutches that she left at the back door!! God had prepared the atmosphere, signs and wonders were following someone who simply believed. And more would follow. God wasn’t done, He never is!

That morning I shared my testimony of God rescuing me from depression and alcohol. He rescued me from myself and all the hurts, pains, and darkness I had fallen into. He brought me out of darkness and into the light. I shared the love of God with everyone and commanded fear to leave, doubt to go, and depression to get out of the house in the name of Jesus! And then God did more, the Spirit of God came into that building and more people got healed, and a 19 year old kid got right with God. I held his hands and looked him in the eye and told him to never forget his decision to follow Christ this morning, never forget the God that loves him and is transforming his life! I looked at him there with tears in his eyes and asked him about his parents. He responded they’re fine, I asked him what was up with his dad and asked him why he wasn’t there that morning? He begin to weep and said how do you know? Jesus told me, He loves you and one day your dad is going to stand next to you and worship the God who became real to you this morning! God changed Nick yesterday, he experienced the love of God and he’ll never be the same!

I spoke again there last night. There was such a spirit of freedom in the house. And God did more miraculous things! He healed 4 backs last night! 4 more people woke up without pain today! I asked people to come forward who wanted to walk in boldness and pray for the sick to be healed. After I prayed for them, I then received a word of knowledge about lower backs, and those who wanted boldness and faith were given a larger portion of both as they laid hands on people in the church with hurt backs and watched Jesus heal them!
