With eight bananas and new pair of flip flops we continued our trek focused on getting to La Ceiba one way or another. So the eight of us stuck our thumbs out again and before long another pickup had pulled over and after Sarah spoke to the driver we had a ride about the mile or so back to Kings Palace and the main road. After getting to Kings Palace Jackie my team leader and a native of Beijing had went and asked if their was a Chinese person present. At almost the same moment the owner a man also from China had walked up from the back. Jackie started talking to him in Mandarin and the rest of us praised Jesus for providing us with the relief of air conditioning even if momentarily. We also prayed that their conversation would be covered with the power and love of Christ. After about twenty minutes of talking they had finished talking the owner graciously offered us a free soda or juice, and allowed us to fill our water bottles from his dispenser of purified water. Standing outside the restaurant Jackie informed us that the owner was an atheist and that she could not pray for the restaurant when she asked because he had an idol sitting on the shelf that was supposed to bring prosperity. Outside the restaurant the eight of us joined hands and started to pray that the restaurant would lose it's idolatry and that they would come to know the love that Jesus freely offers to all. In the middle of our prayer the owner had came to us and offered us lunch. When Jackie replied that we didn't have money for that. He told her that he didn't want our money. We quickly agreed to go back in and have the lunch that Jesus made the way for. Upon sitting down we were brought a HUGE bowl of fried rice with chicken, steak, and shrimp mixed in. After we finished that they brought about 25 orange quarters out for our table of seven. (Bryan was fasting) Shortly followed by wontons filled with chicken. By the time we had finished eating I think we each had eaten about three times the normal amount of food we eat at any other meal. Throughout all of this Jackie was eating and visiting with the owner and his wife. The husband was more closed to the idea of Christ but the wife was much more open and was asking Jackie questions on what she didn't understand about Christianity and sharing her story of why she stopped believing in Jesus.

Part three coming soon. Also please pray for me as tomorrow I will be beginning a silence fast and attempting to go 24 hours without speaking and using that time to focus in on what the Lord is saying.
