“Love your neighbor as yourself” Mark 12:31
I spent the last few days here at the power and love conference in Klamath Falls Oregon. If you’ve never heard about the message of the gospel and the true saving love of God the Father through His son Jesus you really need to. Message me and we’ll talk. God is amazing! He loves everyone so much! So much in fact that He gave his Son through love to bear our mistakes so we can be free!! Ha ha seriously how awesome is that?! I didn’t do anything to deserve my life, I’ve simply surrendered it and Gods splattered grace over me. I just said I wish I never did all the wrong that I did and I want to live like you Jesus. Show me.
So God speaks to us! He loves us, and because He loves other people He always has something to say. God always has something to say. Always. It’s my joy and privilege as a son of God to look into the lives of complete strangers and share with them how God truly sees them. I am honored to share with them their creative value, the fact that we were all made in the likeness of God; love, and through love God shows us the very hearts of those around us.
At the power and love conference, the speakers merely share the simplicity of the gospel with us. Jesus died so I might be restored back into the image of God, and all I have to do is believe and God transforms my life into what He originally wanted it to be in the first place before Adam ate the fruit! That’s it! So simple, He died so I might live, I believe, and now I live! Awesome right?! Well it gets better! As I said, I get the privilege of looking into the hearts of people and sharing love with them, love never fails and since God made me in love I can’t fail. I can’t fail to manifest love, it comes out of me! Seriously! It’s so natural now!
So during the conference you go out and speak to people. You just be Jesus everywhere you go! It’s awesome! It’s my lifestyle now, and it basically has been my life since I’ve been a Christian but there have been seasons where I forgot who I was. That's now changed, God’s revealed His love for me and the last 9 weeks I’ve decided to remember who He created me to be. He created me to be just like Jesus and to manifest the love of Jesus everywhere I go. I’ve been loving people across 37 states over these last 9 weeks and I’ve seen God do some amazing things. Amazing things.
So I team up with a few guys and we head out to Safeway. One of my new buddies is from South Africa which is a country that I’ll be in next week! He has access to a morgue and during my days off I wana go pray for the dead and watch God raise them to life! Seriously, Jesus said we can do this so why don’t we believe it?! I’m not a freak, I promise you, I’m just in love with Jesus and there are some bodies that need raised back to life and told about Him! You guys can believe what you want, Jesus said we can raise the dead so why don’t we believe the word of God? Seriously, think about that, why don’t we believe the Word of God…? I believe, and I'm gonna raise the dead someday in the name of Jesus!
So anyway I’m with my South African friend and a few others and we pray for some people in Safeway and God does some neat stuff. As we head back to the van to head somewhere else I see a college aged kid walking towards the entrance of the store. And God shows me an image, and as He does what I have just seen comes out of my mouth. I point at the kid and yell, “You just got done arguing with someone! come here lets pray!” He looks at me and says “How did you know?!”, I’m heated and reply, “it doesn’t matter man, we need to pray”. So I put my hand on his chest and pray and God shows me more, this kids been running from God and has a call of God on his life. He knows it and he’s been running. As I finish my pray he tells me that him and his mother just got done arguing for like 3 hours, but how could I possibly know that? I respond, “It’s Jesus man. He loves you, and because He does He allowed me to see in love what you’re going through”.
We talk with this guy for about half an hour and he’s all sorts of confused. He’s a lost sheep. He knows Jesus is there but he’s out of touch with him. He’s been running and there are a lot of people like him. We are surrounded by them. Everyone has inscribed in them Gods very instructions, we all have a sense of the existence of a God, Jeremiah 31:33 talks about this. We all have the breathe of God inside of us, and as found children we need to go after our lost brothers and sisters. Can I challenge you with something? Seriously. Ask God to show you the people around you the way that He sees them. I’m serious. Ask Him to show you in love the very hearts of people that you are surrounded by. Then ask the Holy Spirit to empower you to step out and love people, get out of your comfort zone! This isn’t comfortable Christianity guys, what does that even mean? Jesus didn’t promise comfort, He promised rest in Him, He promised peace! Some of us are so out of touch with Gods love for us that we can’t even talk to the Father that loves us. Get over that, get over yourself! I’m serious, it’s not about you. It’s really not. It’s all about Him. Fall in love with Jesus and shake the world around you. The gospel is picking up steam, it’s going places. It’s being driven into peoples hearts. Love never fails, it never gives up, and Gods going after His people, we're all His, but we can choose to reject Him. And honestly a lot of people choose to reject Jesus because of loveless and powerless "christians" that have judged and failed to manifest Jesus. We need to get over ourselves guys, deny yourself, just die to you and watch Jesus work in and through you.
The world doesn’t know what to do with Truth and love so they reject it. But they can’t reject it because love never fails, and the more you reject Gods love the more He pursues you and comes after you. There are days coming when Christians and churches grab hold of the love of God and spread it across their spheres of influence. Your day is today. The time is really right now. Get off of your comfort zone, your neighbor is dying. Literally dying, they are trapped in bondage and you have the very spirit in you that raised Christ from the grave. You are the Love of God that has the power to change people. You. Yet we walk around everyday and don’t even look at handicapped people, or avoid the homeless. Are you kidding me?! These are Gods people, those are your brothers and sisters. We shouldn’t avoid them we should pursue them and chase them down just to embrace them and empower them in love and hope! Come on guys we can do this. Jesus lives in us and He’s the hope of glory! You are Christ revealed! Die to yourself and become love theres no other way worth anything. There really isn’t!
