I once read a quote from Mother Teresa that said something along the lines of, “In order to grow in humility you must practice humility daily.” Well, this is my act of humility for the day…

Just to warn you right off the bat, the purpose of this blog is to ask you for your support and your money(if that offends you, please stop reading). I am not here to persuade you to give me your hard earned money, it’s yours, and you’ve earned it, I am merely asking you to invest in something that I believe will have an eternal impact. Because I believe what I am doing is for the Glory of God, I have no shame in asking you to partner with me to reach the world. I believe that God has aligned my life to make a difference, and what that means I dunno, but I do know that my life has a purpose behind it that isn’t my own. I’ve come to realize that my life isn’t mine, nothing is mine, and because nothing is mine I can freely surrender it all to God and His purpose for me(this isn’t easy and requires trust, something I am learning).

After fighting my pride back and forth for the last two weeks I’ve decided to surrender and humbly ask for you to help support my mission trip. I’ve been trying to sell everything I own in the hopes that I could fund myself and not have to ask people for money. But nothing is selling, and besides, I would be robbing you of a chance to invest in the kingdom of God. The reality is in 2 weeks I have a $3,500 deadline that I must meet in order to simply start the world race. Currently I have $247.00 in my missions account, and miraculously God is going to speak to you guys and that number will be $3,500 by the 29th of this month. How can I possibly be so bold as to say that? Well because I know that if this is Gods will, then it’s His bill and I don’t have to worry about when or where the money will come from, it will come.

I am asking you to be a part of Gods ministry for my life, and to pray and ask God to lead you in supporting me in a few different ways.

Prayer: Yes, I am convinced that nothing can be done without it! Old school you say? Well my God used the prayers of normal men to do extraordinary things in the bible like when Joshua prayed and the sun stood still!(Joshua 10:13) or when Elijah called on God to send fire from heaven, and it came down(1 Kings 18:35). I believe that God does miraculous things through prayer, and I would like to ask you to support my team and I by your prayers. It doesn’t have to be a long over the top prayer, but I request that you’d pray in boldness and in faith. Ask God to send us by his spirit to the very darkest places of the earth, ask Him to send us to the poorest of the poor, and the most helpless people around. Ask God to work in us and through us, and to fill us with his spirit. Pray that God would allow us to lay hands of the sick and see them healed, ask him to deliver people from evil and sin, and ask God to reveal himself to the people we speak to, and bring them into a relationship with him.

Communication: I have been humbled by the encouragement and support that I have received from all of you so far. From friends and family to complete strangers, you guys have lifted up my spirits more than you’ll ever know. But I would like to ask that you would spread the word to your friends through your social media outlets. I am convinced that this trip isn’t just going to bless people in other countries as I bring the message of hope and the love of Christ, but there is no doubt in my mind that it will release the very presence of God in my family and friends as well as strangers across the country. Please share this blog with as many people as you can, and my prayer is that God will use my life and my experiences to bring people to a greater knowledge and hope in Him.

Financially: I need to raise $15,500(period) There is no other way around it, but this is good news! You have a chance to be part of my journey, you have a chance to be involved in spreading the hope and love found only in Christ. Here is an excerpt of a blog from the girl who told me about The World Race. This is her final blog, a thanks to her supporters:

“Thank you….You held a beautiful little girl's hand and sang to her while she was getting burns cleaned.  You drew pictures and played more games than you can imagine with the cutest kids that have nothing more than the clothes on their backs.  You went into a closed country and taught English while living the Gospel and encouraging the full-time missionaries.  You shared a testimony of God's grace and hope to thousands of teenagers, little kiddos, and adults.  You looked into the eyes of a witch doctor and proclaimed the Truth.  You held a sixteen your old boy as he struggled with a battle between trusting the Lord and loosing to an addiction to paint thinner.    You went into the hospitals, prisons, schools, markets, homes, and churches of the world spreading the undeniable truth of God's goodness.  You led a youth camp that brought joy, hope, salvation and an experience of a lifetime to many youth.  You were literally the hands and feet of God around the world!!

You have a chance to help me do the things God has put in my heart to do. To love and give hope to people all over the world. If I can get 100 people to support me for just $13 dollars a month, I would have enough funds to meet my financial goal!  I know that maybe a sacrifice for many considering the economy and the increased cost of living. But I would ask that you would pray and ask God to show you what you can give. If it’s your prayers I am grateful, if it’s sharing my blog with your co-workers, thank you! If it’s $10 a month, thank you! Whatever it is I just want you to know I appreciate you. Even if you’ve read to this point and still don’t feel lead to give, I still appreciate you and thank you for reading my blog!

Here are 2 ways you can give financially:

Lastly I would ask that you would continue to keep up with my blog. You can subscribe just by entering your email address in the spot on the left side of your screen under “Subscribe for Blog updates”. Why do I want you to subscribe? Because I don’t want you to miss anything God will show you that He is showing me. I don’t want you to miss the excitement and praise reports that I’ll give from across the globe! And I don’t want you to miss the miraculous things that God is going to do over the course of the next year and a half through your support!

So now, I humbly ask you to pray, and ask God how you can help support me in taking the name of Jesus to the ends of the earth. Thank you all very much!
