All of these things has always been in my life but have never been a part of who I am.
This trip has made me realize how important these words or individually but also has a whole.
Take “Love” for instance I have been learning how to love each of my squad mates no matter what
they have been through and being able to love them the way God loves them. “Joy” has been a huge one,
being able to be joyful and optimistic in every situation can be hard but it can be so rewarding.
“peace” has been a harder one in my life being able to be free and peaceful about certain things I have
been through and have experienced…. let’s just say I’m still working on that one. “Patience” has always
been a harder one for me because I have always wanted to move move move and I used to be one who got annoyed
easily but understanding how important peace is in life has been so good.
“self-control” I saved this one for last because its been the one I’ve been working on the most.
Many of you might know that I have struggled with my anger and its always easy for me to just lash out and
become angry at the simplest things possible and being defensive over everything and always making excuses for
myself. This past month it has been amazing to see that getting angry literally does not help anything and
usually just makes the situation worse, so I’ve been learning how to think about the situation and im learning to
calm myself before I lash out and I have seen to much goodness come out of it!
Fruits of the spirit are so important to think about. Learning how to use them in everyday life will help you to look
more like Jesus, I don’t know about you but that’s definitely a goal of mine!
Also I’m a little less than $2,000 away from being fully funded! thank you for reading this! please donate..
