2nd Thessalonians 2:13 says,
But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as first fruits to be saved through the sanctifying work of the spirit and through belief in the truth
people are making choices everyday for everything whether its what time you want to wake up to what you want for dinner but you don’t make decisions just on worldly things you also have to make choices on how to build the kingdom
one choice you have to make everyday as a christian is whether you want to say “yes” and make that day about the Lord or say nah i’m good for today ill just do my own thing.
think about these choices….
-optimistic or pestimistic?
-putting yourself above others or humbling yourself and making sure they are okay first?
-speak life into others or gossip?
-walk out in faith or walk in fear?
-seek discomfort or be comfortable?
-in hardships ask the Lord what he is teaching you or be brought down?
-see good in others or point out their flaws?
-read the word daily or say ill get to it some other time?
-spending quiet time with Jesus or being in every group activity?
-dress modestly or cause a brother/sister to stumble?
—Serve others especially when you want to be served—
—Finding value in listening to people rather than being heard—
the next ones are a little more intense not that the others aren’t but these ones are backed up by the word my dude
you can chose to look at the next life or dwell in this life
Matthew 10:39 says : whoever finds their life will lose it and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it (NIV)
proverbs 14:12 says : there is a way that appears to be right but in the end it leads to death (NIV)
chose his will over your will
Matthew 10:38 says : whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me (NIV)
So honestly to make things easier read the next ones they are pretty simple.
-chose to submit to him fully or half ass it
-chose to make it a relationship NOT a religion
-chose to love your enemies or continue to hate them
-chose to forgive others as God has forgiven you or hold a grudge
so in conclusion you have to make choices everyday and those choices you make are important and they shape and define you as a person and as a child of God
also I shared my testimony in front of a group of women and thinking about how crazy my life has been and where i am right now. some of you reading this may not know my testimony but it’s wild and i keep being reminded of the fact of how can i not fall to my knees when i worship him? He is the one who saved my family who saved me honestly. like y’all God is so good and if it wasn’t for him i wouldn’t be where i am at with all of the amazing friends and family i have and get to do life with.
