Launch is less than 3 weeks away and it has me processing so much right now! I thought I’d share some of what I’m processing with you.

It often can be beneficial to look back at moments in your life to see how they have shaped who you are. Today, I look back on the way the Lord drew my heart to him and the day I gave my life to Jesus. It was a small, seemingly insignificant moment that led to some serious change and course directing. It reminds me of a quote by C.S. Lewis that explains the amount of weight the smallest act and moment can hold for people:

“The smallest good act today is the capture of a strategic point from which, a few months later, you may be able to go on to victories you never dreamed of.”

My testimony, and the moments in between it and today, included many small and good acts that have amounted to victories unimaginable. For instance, the simple task that my friend took upon himself in high school to invite me to a youth conference led to me dedicate my life to Jesus. Now, I stand free, redeemed, and on a course set to glorify him forever.

Big things are often what we focus on but it’s the little things that build up to them. Without them, the big things cannot and will not exist. The World Race is this big thing that looks amazing and was unimaginable to me for years. But, for the moments leading up to my decision to go and for the moments while I am on the field, there are little acts and choices that ultimately make up the big picture.

I hope that this encourages you as you apply the simplicity of the Gospel to the smallest moments and areas of your life and that they grow into victories you thought you could only dream of. Crucify yourself daily, commune with the Father, invite that friend to church, share that simple testimony with a coworker and watch those moments turn into victories unimaginable. Here’s what that looked like for me. I love y’all!
