I’ve been thinking a lot lately, and asking some of the racers around me their thoughts on this question…What is the hardest thing for you to do in your relationship with God?
I’ve teared up a few times when I heard some of the responses. Some have answered: listening, feeling accepted by God, being obedient, following through, truly knowing that God loves them, seeing Him as Father, being patient, and hearing from Him.
For me the hardest thing is being still and resting in Him. I can think so much about the future and my past that I become too anxious to simply rest. It’s difficult at times to not think about life after the race. Will I become a youth pastor, or a full-time missionary? Will I live in America, or continue to travel? It can be exhausting to think about. We’re working on that.
I would like to encourage you to tell Him what the hardest thing for you to do in your relationship with Him is. You must know this…He already knows. And that’s what He would like to work on with you if you are willing.

Questions:
When was the last time God spoke to you?  What did He say?
What is God asking you to do?
Who is He calling you to be?
When was the last time you relied on Him?
