Here are some pictures of our work at the orphanage. Caleb, Matt, David, and I worked together this month and added onto the orphanage a community shower and two bathrooms. We would work during the days while the girls were all at school, and then we would come back for dinner, play games, have worship, and sing songs with the girls.
Before we left, we bought all of the girls little purses and filled them with candy and a letter with a short message and some scriptures. The girls made us some cards as well. They drew us all pictures and wrote each of us a thank you letter.
The good byes were emotional. We were hanging in there pretty well emotionally until the girls began to cry. Then we lost it…grown men, crying with little girls. They sang us a song before they gave us our thank you cards and that’s what broke our hearts. These girls are amazing. We will miss them tremendously.
