Each morning team SE7EN has been working on a house for a widow named Flor. We have painted the walls, the ceiling, and the roof. We have moved rocks, sifted the cement, and provided vitamins for the children who pass by to watch us work.
Flor runs a food ministry here. Always putting others first, she’s selfless, compassionate, and extremely considerate. Even though we showed up to work for her, she’s still shoveling dirt with us and painting the walls right beside us.
The structure of her home was caving in. A new roof was added, and the entire home was basically remodeled. Her home is almost finished! And when it is, we’re planning on having all of the teams who are here pray for her home.

We were told that a family can’t live in the same area for 7 years unless they own the land. So every 6 years, the land owners will have the standing homes torn down, and the families will be homeless. Flor is very blessed in that she owns the land that her home stands on. So her home will not be torn down. Most of the homes we see here are made of plywood with a single sheet of tin for the roof. Flor’s home is made completely of cement with many layers of tin for the roof.
