“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations…”  Matthew 28:19a-20

Dear Family and Friends,

Last November, as I prayed with a group of friends, God showed me that I needed to go on a mission trip; however, not a trip in the states but rather an international trip. While praying I also had a vision of kids of African descent gathering around me. Since; this vision was a reoccurring dream for me, I asked a group of friends to pray for me about the possibility of going on a mission trip, but I never told anyone about the vision. In early March, my roommate came to me and said, “Man, I had a dream last night and all of these kids were gathering around you in what looked like a village.” It was in that moment that I felt called to something more. Then God put The World Race on my heart. So, now I go, I am following my call to live out a different lifestyle than most; the one that Christ asks us to live.

“ For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,  I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”  Matthew 25: 34-40

I want to start by saying The World Race is an incredible mission trip put on by an organization based in Gainesville, GA, Adventures in Missions. The World Race is an 11 month Christian mission trip that travels to 11 different countries. The trip takes adventure, ministry, and close quarters community to a whole other level. My team and I will partner with local ministries and churches to spread the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, and minister to women and children who have been forced into prostitution as a result of human trafficking. But, most of all, we will spread the Father’s love to countless tribes and nations!

I have great confidence that God will provide all the needs I have for this journey. My hope is that He can fulfill those needs through you. I am writing to ask if you would consider partnering both prayerfully and financially with me in my ministry. I have to raise $15,500 for my participation in The World Race this amount will cover all my expenses while in the nations. There are two ways you can support me financially. Monetary support can be either a one-time donation or a monthly donation where you specify the amount you feel led to donate as well as, the beginning, and end date of the monthly donations. The first way to support me is to donate online by going to my blog: http://tylerthrasher.theworldrace.org/ and clicking the “Support Me” link on the left side and completing the donation information as instructed. Also, you can mail a donation to Adventures in Missions, PO Box 534470, Atlanta, GA, 30353-4470. Specify that you are donating to me Tyler Thrasher.

I am so excited to see what God will do in my life and in the lives of others through me as I travel into the nations. I hope not only to be a blessing to those I meet on the trip but also to be a blessing to you. I would be so honored to act as your representative to bring Jesus Christ to nations around the world. Thank you, in advance, for your prayers and financial support. May God bless you as you prayerfully consider partnering with me as I go into the nations with this ministry.

God Bless,
