So here is a quick update about what has been going on in Ireland, and a few pictures for your viewing pleasure.
First things first, Ireland is absolutely beautiful. I can’t emphasize this enough. This month we have had the pleasure of working with our contacts Jim and Kathy in Greystones, which is about 45mins. south of Dublin on the eastern coast. Jim and Kathy were only suppose to host us for 8 days because they were headed to France for a conference, but they were gracious enough to open their home and let 13 semi-strangers stay in there house while they were gone. Over the course over the course of the month we have the opportunity to a bunch of different things as far as ministry goes. Our primary ministry has been helping rennovate part of the house we are staying at so when other world race and other short term missionaries come they will have a place to stay. Besides construction we have had the opportunity to do street evangelism in Dublin, working at an alcohol and drug addiction center called Betel, and lead a few services at the church Jim and Kathy attend and at Betel. Through leading these services I had the opportunity to lead some worship and preach for the first time on race so far, I hear it will happen a lot more once we get to Africa. I spoke out of 1 Cor. 3:10-15 about how the Lord is going to test our works with fire, this is spoken to the Christian, and how the Lord is looking for us to have built on the foundation of Christ with precious materials like gold, silver, and precious stones that when tested with fire will remain. The Lord is looking for our lives to produce things built with quality not wood, hay, and straw that will be burnt up. Oh, that we would be a people who lives our lives with eternity in mind. I want to be a man who cares way more about my eternal reward that anything else that can be given to me on this earth. anyways that was the main gist. I also had the opportunity to go to N. Ireland for a weekend, where I got to see Belfast and take a day trip and see the Giant’s Causeway and some other things along the northern coast. It was awesome!!
We’re leaving Greystones in the morning and are headed to Dublin for the week. We will have the opportunity to meet up with the other 300 something world racers who are on the field right now for the Awakening 2010. We are all camping out at a campground, it is going to madness with that many tents. The Awakening itself will be a time of worship and teaching, which I am sooo pumped about! After the Awakening ends my squad will stay at the campgrounds for a few days longer for a debrief and then…….we head to AFRICA!!! My team leader Aly Beeler, whom I love, is being moved to squad leader. This means two things I will miss not being directly under her because she is simply amazing, and there are some changes coming in leadership and maybe teams, I don’t really know at this point though. Please keep my team/ squad in your prayers as we are making this transition whatever it looks like, that the Lord would give us His peace that surpasses all knowledge, no matter what happens.
If you have any specific questions please let me know, I would love to answer them!
I love you all.

One of the contacts, Mickey, that we did street evangelism with in Dublin. He would use these pictures to attract and audience, and he would share the gospel with them. After he was done we would start conversations with the onlookers.
Dunluce Castle, we got to see it when we toured the causeway.
Anyways there are a few pics!!!
